Attack on emir's convoy: Resident flee, as soldier conduct a house-to-house search.
Residents of Fandisho village along Kaduna-Zaria highway, where the Emir of Potiskum’s convoy was attacked, have deserted their homes. Daily Trust gathered that most of the residents, mostly women and children, didn’t sleep in their houses for fear of the unknown. Our reporters who visited the small community few kilometres from Kaduna city reported that those that the fleeing community members are yet to return home. It was also gathered that soldiers stormed the village on Thursday night and carried out a house-to-house search. “Our women and children left home since the incident happened. There were also some men that left because we were all afraid. Most are yet to return home,” he said.A resident, who pleaded anonymity, said men and women migrated from the village to neighbouring communities.
